چکیده
Understanding how soil water source is used spatiotemporally by tree species and if native can successfully coexist with introduced crucial for selecting afforestation. In the rocky mountainous areas of Taihang Mountains, alien Robinia pseudoacacia L. has been widely afforested into shrublands dominated Ziziphus jujuba Mill var. spinosa Vitex negundo heterophylla to improve forest coverage nutrients. However, little known about relation among species, especially seasonal use sources in different microsites. We selected plant xylem samples two opposite microtopographic sites (ridge valley) monthly growth season analyze isotope composition. The proportions were quantified MixSIAR model compared pairwise between microsites seasons. found that deep subsoil at a depth 40–50 cm contributed up 50% total uptake R. Z. growing season, indicating they stably deeper had intense competition. V. more flexible strategy, which derived than from layer 0–10 rainy but majorly captured 30–50 dry season. Therefore, high niche overlaps shown other segregation was seen did not shift dynamic patterns three studied overlap higher valley ridge. Taken together, intensified competition semi-arbor jujuba, it could commonly shrub negundo. our study on provides insight interaction site selection afforestation community areas. It better shrubland so as avoid control erosion.
